Computer Crashed :(

Saturday, 30 June 2012

Hard Drive crashed the other day :(
After spending a bunch of money on my visa and then turning around to have to spend a bunch of money on my computer… it’s been a painful week!
I’m thankful that I was able to get everything recovered on my computer!  I only lost money and time, still have all of my limbs!  I’ll be spending pretty much every waking hour the next couple of days catching up on homework….
And in the meanwhile, I spent a number of hours talking with the computer tech.  Any time I can have a conversation with someone for more than 5 or 10 minutes, they will inevitably ask me why I’m here and then follow up with, why do I want to spend so much time doing what I do without potential for return on my investment, so to speak.  This always has great potential for some interesting conversation.

Glad everything worked out, Dale! Praying you’ll persevere in your catching up! May the Lord continue to encourage you in your studies. :)

Well, it seems that the crash was for someone elses good seeing that you were able to share your purpose for being where you are! Hopefully Gods graciousness allows you to catch up on homework without too much loss of sleeeeep!

Yes, and I’ll be going to see that guy yet again and talk some more! My computer has been crashing :( Hopefully it will be cheaper this time….
Maybe I should just drop by his shop on occasion so if God wants me to talk with him, it doesn’t have to come at the expense of my computer breaking!? hahaha Actually I wouldn’t mind dropping by his shop and chatting sometimes, but it’s a bit out of the way in an area I never go….

I concur with your mother, one can say to the computer, “you meant it for evil, but God meant it for good”! Fan into flames the gift of God which is in you (2 Tim 1); we were reminded of that in church today and I find it fitting to pass this reminder to you. I hope you will have more opportunities to share in the future.

Thanks for that encouragement :) Yes, there are opportunities every time you turn around… just need to keep the old eyes open and ears peeled! — Explain that one to an ESL student! ears peeled?? Where did that come from!? :p
